Before I became a massage therapist, I was a dance instructor.  My first love is dancing. I have been a dance instructor for 14+ years.  My resume includes teaching ages 7 up through adult, experienced and non-experienced dancers, nationwide and internationally.  Genres include hip hop, contemporary, swing dancing, and interpretive.  I have worked in school environments, and with independent organizations, as well as on an hourly basis with individuals or couples.  Groups as large as 100 and as small as 2 have learned steps from me.  I have also choreographed and taught drama for all ages as well.

 

For a little over 10 years I organized and directed the International Fundraising Program for a non-profit youth organization, which included coordinating the major fundraising events (sometimes performances entertained over 1,000 people) from themes to food to execution, as well as choreographing and teaching the dancers entire programs to perform at the events.  We traveled the world and the United States, using music, dance, and drama to create unforgettable programs that were performed before thousands of people.

 

For half of the 2009 school year, I coached hip hop for competition-level poms teams of girls ranging in age from 7 to 13.  Recently, I also took on private lessons for wedding couples and individuals, in addition to instructing hip hop cardio class at Lifetime Fitness occasionally.
